DEPARTMENT: Water Department POSITION TITLE: Field Operator 1 STATUS: Full-time -- 40 hours/week HOURLY RATE: $16.00 per hour   QUALIFICATIONS: *CDL -- Class A (or ability to obtain) *Knowledge of water systems preferred/not required *Safety oriented in work environment *Ability to adapt and be trained in work tasks *Pass all pre-employment screenings Installs water taps, water lines and fire hydrants. Reads and fixes meters. Repairs water breaks, taps and general repairs. Cross-train to perform duties of Meter Technician. Maintenance knowledge preferred. Available to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (based on rotating schedule).
