Description Our reputable client is seeking a Tax Accountant to join the company. The Tax Accountant will work with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. Major responsibilities

• Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings

• Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in detail oriented organizations, keeping up with detail oriented networks and reading detail oriented publications

• Recommend ways to improve profits and identify legal tax savings

• Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports

• Manage outsourced tax preparation work

• Confirm that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations

• Manage the company's tax database and put together tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, and reports

• Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws Requirements - Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated organizational skills

• Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required

• CPA highly preferred

• 2+ years of public or corporate tax

• High attention to detail

• Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
