Position Summary:

The Management Systems Facilitator simplifies and expedites the maintenance of an effective management system that meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) requirements. This position supports the development of Operational Excellence by increasing team members’ awareness of the manufacturing plant’s continuous improvement program and by leading core management systems programs including corrective action, internal audit, and document control.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Evaluate effective implementation of the manufacturing plant’s management system policies, procedures and processes against ISO and GFSI standards

  • Facilitate ISO Internal Audit Process to mitigate risks

  • Review audit results and identify the severity of audit findings or the risk associated with the findings to ensure the appropriate level of action is taken to eliminate non-conformance

  • Focus on the key critical objectives that add the most value

  • Drive team members to consistently deliver results that meet or exceed expectations

  • Support process improvement initiatives to promote sustainable, continuous improvement of core processes

  • Act as scientific, regulatory, technical or quality expert and consultant by responding to targeted questions and support other facilities, plants bottlers and customers as needed

  • Coordinate and lead training classes, i.e., policies, processes, standard work, lean tools and new/revised systems requirements, etc.

  • Communicate findings of internal and external audits to leadership team and ensure items of non-conformance are addressed and corrected efficiently

  • Foster an environment that supports an engaged Management Systems culture

  • Provide new insights and solutions that result in organizational improvements

  • Provide a work environment that fosters collaboration, critical thinking, exchange of ideas, innovation and risk-based approach

  • Seek, share, adopt ideas and best practices inside and outside manufacturing and embrace change introduced by others

  • Manage documentation and records in order to ensure that they are complete, current, secure and easily retrievable including designing, organizing or maintaining technical or regulatory records, i.e., paper formula files, reports, etc.

  • Review and update existing standards, specifications or requirements in order to comply with changes in regulatory and customer requirements, and to support new product development

  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 plus years of Management Systems Implementation, General Auditing and Project, Process and Document Management experience or HS Diploma and 5 plus years of Management System Implementation, General Auditing and Project, Process and Document Management experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels of an organization

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Detail-oriented mindset

  • Ability to apply and implement quality systems (e.g., ISO, Malcolm Baldrige, Six Sigma and HACCP)

  • Ability to guide team members in developing and implementing quality systems

  • Strong project management skills

  • Ability to apply the principles, tools and techniques to develop/plan, manage or execute projects or work plans to ensure successful completion, i.e., on time, within budget, etc.

  • Ability to establish and define processes, interrelationships and key controls

  • Ability to monitor and improve processes and to facilitate the efficient/effective execution of business activities

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree

  • 3 plus years of people leadership experience

  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications

  • Food and/or beverage manufacturing experience

  • SAP application experience

  • Continuous improvement experience
