Assignment Details – Activity Therapist

• Specialty: Activity/Recreational Therapy, Behavioral Health

• Location: Titusville, FL

• Flexible Start Date

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Full-Time, 5x8 schedule

• Shift: Day shift, 8:00am-4:30pm with 30-minute lunch

• Enhanced hourly rate & bi-weekly, tax-exempt stipend

• Paid travel to/from assignment

  Job duties to include:

• Conduct activity therapy to improve functioning and independence

• Provide activity resources and opportunities for all patients with a focus on improving health and well-being

• Provide high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients’ functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients’ treatment team

• Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations

• Assess patient needs regularly and assist in the developing and updating of the Master Treatment Plan

• Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient

• Provide group educational therapies to assigned patients consistent with established techniques and methods

  Qualifications

  Travel Therapist Job Requirements:

• Education: Master's degree in Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy OR Bachelor's degree in associated discipline with Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification

• Licensures/Certification: Registered Art Therapist, Certified Music Therapist, Registered Occupational Therapist, Registered Physical Therapist, Certified Recreational Therapist, Certified Yoga Instructor

• Experience: Two (2) or more years' experience providing activity therapy. Prefer minimum of two (2) years in a psychiatric setting with children, adolescents, and adult population.
