Job Purpose:

Seeking skilled carpenter(s) to construct, erect, install and repair structures and fixtures of wood, metal frame, plywood and wallboard. We are particularly seeking carpenters capable of working in a commercial build environment.

Our ideal candidate(s) should be comfortable working in diverse settings, possessing great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. Good working knowledge of carpentry materials and the use of all necessary tools is a must. S/he should be capable of working well with others and following all health and safety standards.

Duties:

• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to fully grasp requirements a plus.
• Accuracy taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed for a project.
• Skilled in use of all tools necessary to cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements.
• Able to frame buildings by using raw build materials or pre-constructed items.
• Able to install items such as siding, cabinets, drywall, and insulation.
• Skills needed to lay out flooring, roofing, and drywall, ensuring they are level, plumb, and installed with as little waste possible.
• Ability to assemble/build scaffolding and other needed construction structures.
• Demonstrates experience in the use of hand and power tools
