Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscious Recycle Sorter to join our team at our MFR in St Petersburg FL.

In this position you will be sorting recyclable materials along with some basic cleaning duties. This is a very fast paced position working in a loud environment. Even though you are covered this is an open air facility so can be working in hot conditions in the summer months and cold conditions in the winter months.

A typical schedule is Monday – Friday an occasional Saturday as needed. Average workweek is 50 plus Hours. May work weekends if needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Typical job duties include:

• Sorting recycled material onto different conveyor belts and moving material to the appropriate areas.

• Maintaining the cleanliness of the recycling area and yard outside.

• Help maintain equipment such as baler and conveyor line.

• Assuming custodial duties as needed.

• Other manual labor that does not involve the operation of heavy equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.

• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
