Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Entry Level Staff Accountant in South Bend, Indiana. The role involves both on-site and remote work, with a hybrid model that includes 3 days on-site and 2 days remote per week. The industry is the telecom sector, and the employment type is a short-term contract.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of month-end financial reports.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for accuracy.

• Support tax preparations and audits as required.

• Post journal entries for accrued expenses and revenue.

• Keep records of invoices and tax payments in an organized manner.

• Assist with Accounts Payable functions as needed.

• Use Accounting Software Systems for various accounting functions.

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.

• Process checks and manage Excel Formulas for financial calculations. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Understanding and experience with Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Check Processing

• Proficiency in Excel Formulas

• Entry-level role, suited for those starting their career in accounting

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
