Our client is in need of an IT Generalist to join their team on-site in Sandusky, OH. For the first 6 months this person will be train under their expert to learn the ropes on how to take and handle the tickets as well as learn more about the telematics they're using to predict maintenance. They will be handling tickets involving replacing boxes and boards on the telematics computers that go inside of the heavy machinery. This role will give the individual experience with trouble shooting a multitude of technologies. The individual will also have the opportunity to learn development skills using .NET C#.

Top Skills Required Include:

• Experience with Microsoft Event viewer for problem diagnosis

• Experience using PowerShell

• Experience with motherboard and other components & computer assembly

• Basic Linux experience

Preferred Experience Includes:

Customer service oriented

Experience packaging returns for shipment

Experience generating shipping labels

Strong troubleshooting skills

Bins failed parts to reconcile inventory

Fills out RMA sheets with replaced parts for inventory

Creates documentation of new issues that arise

Familiarity with VNC software and settings

Familiarity with general networking configuration

Modem configuration through web utility

Basic familiarity with cellular SIM card technology

Good understanding of browser settings

Uses ticketing system to handle tasks in an orderly fashion

Understands IPv4 addressing and ports of TCP/IP

Can check BIOS setting

Understands Windows licensing process

Can identify inactivated Windows license

Windows Firewall Settings

Uses Windows Device Manager to identify hardware issues

Understands resource conflicts

Understands IRQ

Understands memory addressing in legacy devices
