About the role

Trust & Security's mission is to protect our people, places, platform, and communities . Global in remit, the team is comprised of three organizations: Global Security, Global Investigations, and Public Safety. All three organizations collect data and intelligence to promote trust, safety and security and have strong relationships with law enforcement and governments. Unique to this team is the opportunity to impact communities around the world, whether or not members of those communities are Uber customers.

The Head of Strategy & Business Outcomes will be responsible for developing Trust & Security's unique expertise into a strategy with direct business impact, then delivering on that strategy. This individual will serve as an important integrator connecting work streams that would otherwise remain siloed and as a communicator linking Trust & Security with the broader organization. This role is expected to understand and consider the needs of the whole company and plug Trust & Security in where needed. In addition, this individual will serve as an important thought leader and communicator on Trust at Uber.

The role will report directly to the Chief Trust & Security Officer and be an integral part of the Trust & Security leadership team.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute a strategy for business outcomes, with emphasis on community impact.

• Collaborate closely with senior leaders across Uber to deploy Trust & Security's unique skills where needed.

• Develop & refine metrics, benchmarking, and reporting.

• Collaborate with global internal partners to evaluate priority needs and to develop creative solutions for emerging operational demands.

• Work closely with Uber's Policy and Communications team on internal and external communications about the team's work, with a goal of positively contributing to Uber's business goals.

• Support the Trust & Security Officer on ad hoc projects.

• Serve as an important thought partner to the Trust & Security officer and among the leadership team.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of work experience at a rapidly growing, global company with an emphasis on stakeholder management and communication with senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and strategic influence with both business leaders and cross-functional partners in a matrixed organization.

• Experience working with senior leads and executives on high-impact projects and deliverables.

• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

• Understanding of the marketplace, competitors, and technology and what is required for sustained operating results.

• Demonstrated experience with data analytics, including extracting insights from data, identifying trends, reporting, and data-driven decision-making to drive continuous improvement.

• Self-motivation with a strong affinity for vision setting, strategic problem solving, and driving action.

• Passion for testing new ideas and innovating to drive results.

• Strong sense of mission, values, and purpose related to community impact.

• Embody the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
