Job Description

AECOM is seeking a senior level Construction Project Manager role within our Remediation Construction Management (RCM) practice in AECOM’s Environment Business Line. You will provide overall management administration to project and assist in establishing project specific objectives and policies.

As a Remediation Construction Manager, you will oversee midsize to large, technically complex projects related to environmental site investigation and remediation. Your role involves interpreting and understanding environmental regulations, technical design documents and contract specifications, developing and implementing site management strategies, coordinating site remediation activities, supervising contractors and construction related to environmental remediation.

The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets and contract documents, collaborating with AECOM technical leads and staff, contractors and subcontractors, monitoring and documenting progress, inspecting work, resolving issues, investigating contaminated soil and groundwater, evaluating and implementing remediation technologies, and interfacing with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Solid written and spoken communication skills to execute the above tasks, including using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and preparing technical reports

  • Demonstrates an understanding and technical competence in oversight of implementation of remedial actions/construction (i.e., worked around heavy equipment, oversee contractors, installation of recovery well systems).

  • Experience using ArcGIS and generating maps and report figures.

  • Knowledgeable and experience with state rules and regulations.

  • Skilled construction estimator, familiar with estimating software (e.g., Timberline or equivalents).

  • Has managed and delivered construction projects with significant remediation and/or environmental scope elements.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS in Construction Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

  • Proven experience in environmental construction oversight with a minimum of 4 years experience

  • OSHA 40 Hour Hazwoper Certification

  • OSHA 30 Certification

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and remediation technologies.

  • Travel is required for this position estimated at 75%+.

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and safely drive a full-size pickup truck.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of Business development and client management experience.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, CHMM)

  • Experience as a project manager and technical lead on remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, and remedial action oversight.

  • Strong understanding of remediation design, construction, and OM&M.

  • Experience with the breadth of federal and local environmental laws, such as CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, etc.

  • This role may serve as the Owner’s representative.

  • This role may be responsible for overseeing site safety and coordinate with staff and subcontractors for compliance with a site safety program

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $85,000.00 - $115,000.00.
