Job Summary/Description:

WFSB is looking for a part-time anchor/reporter to join the Eyewitness News team with hours as needed to include nights, early mornings and/or weekends. WFSB is looking for an anchor/reporter who can do it all: jump on breaking news, whip up smart and engaging stories, pressure institutions to answer tough questions, and deliver compelling profiles. We're looking for a team player a candidate who can range widely across topics related to what we do best, local news. This anchor will excel at writing and should come with ideas, while also being eager to take on assignments. They will develop newscasts to attract the largest available audience to the stations segment, along with covering news in the field and editing and/or rewriting as needed.

The News Anchor/Reporter is an on-camera presenter for newscasts which will attract the largest available audience to the TV station and its digital platforms. The Anchor also reports news in the field, writes stories and edits, and/or rewrites copy when needed. Write and post to digital and social media pages. Anchors streaming coverage in addition to traditional broadcasts. This position works with Producers to create newscasts and streaming news coverage.

Please Note- the primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to the above

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education- Bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or related field or equivalent training and/or experience Experience- Three years experience in broadcast journalism preferred. Experience reporting news and anchoring at a commercial television station preferred
