University of Rochester Neurology - Neuro Immunology - RN 2, Outpt in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

Our team of Neurologists, Advanced Practice Nurses, and RN's is looking for an RN to fill a dual role in the care of patients with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurologic disorders. The dual role includes working with other RNs in the care of patients through telephone management and working with Neuro Infusion RNs in two infusion centers, infusing neuro stabilizing intravenous medications. The RN coordinates care for patients with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions in partnership with the multidisciplinary team. Our interdependent workflow depends upon a nurse who thrives in a dynamic work environment and who is interested in the growth of UR Neurology. Responsibilities include: telephone/my chart communication, care of infusion patients, including IV placement, patient education, active participation in quality improvement initiatives, and a demonstration of positive communication and teamwork within clinic and between departments. Requires RN with current NYS License Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience.

Qualifications

Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience. This position assumes the charge nurse role, actively participates in unit/service activities, supports co-workers, and assesses unit needs.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $34.00 - $44.20

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
