Overview:

  • The Senior Manager, Internal Communications will be responsible for managing the overall calendar for, and distribution of, all company-wide emails to colleagues. This individual will also oversee the end-to-end development and distribution of the manager newsletter. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring effective communication and engagement with our employees, fostering a positive and informed work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Email Calendar and Distribution:

  • Lead the oversight of the calendar for all emails to colleagues globally.

  • Distribute all emails to colleagues globally, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and content for emails.

  • Connect with appropriate strategy & operations colleagues in Corporate Affairs on overall calendaring of company events and engagements.

  • Align with translation team to understand translation impacts for planned content.

  • Ensure all emails are accurate, consistent, and adheres to brand guidelines.

  • Manager Newsletter Development and Distribution:

  • Oversee the end-to-end development and distribution of the manager newsletter.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather content and insights for the newsletter.

  • Develop engaging and informative content for the manager newsletter, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.

  • Utilize appropriate communication channels to distribute the newsletter and track engagement metrics.

  • Internal Messaging and Content Development:

  • Partner with internal communications team members to align content across communications channels.

  • Assess need and provide recommended approach for potential newsletter supporting engagement with content on new intranet. Manage, as applicable.

  • Ensure that internal messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company's values, culture, and brand.

Metrics:

  • Lead metrics and analytics for emails, tracking the effectiveness of messaging and engagement levels.

  • Partner with Associate Director, Internal Communications, to assess effectiveness across internal channels.

  • Recommend data-driven, real-time and long-term changes to content strategy and execution based on analytics.

  • Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Leader communicators, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input, feedback, and insights to inform content creation and communication strategies.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing guidance on communication best practices and strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in communications, with a focus on content strategy, editorial planning, and internal communications.

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.

  • Strong strategic planning and project management skills. Proven experience in developing and executing successful editorial strategies for websites or digital platforms.

  • Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of organizational issues and how to resolve challenges among competing workstreams.

  • Ability to interact effectively with colleagues and counterparts at all levels of the company, both within the Corporate Communications team and across the larger matrixed organization.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Self-directed with proven ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple initiatives with competing priorities.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
