Position Summary:
Our team is seeking a passionate and energetic candidate to join as a Manager, Content Platforms Governance. This critical leadership role will manage and lead the team responsible for the administration and governance of the systems and processes used in the publishing of product content and digital assets at scale supporting thermofisher.com, fishersci.com and our B2B eCatalog channels globally including translation and localization. They will partner with Content Operations, Data Owners, Digital Product Managers, Digital Engineering and Architecture teams to define and implement the roadmaps for innovative product content intake and extract solutions that support robust governance, self-service and automation capabilities driving customer experience for these digital platforms. They will be responsible for leading the team for the governance strategy for technical change and improvement to the applications supporting these processes as they develop into the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead the Systems Governance team in strategy, prioritization of work, goal setting, evaluation of performance and continued skill and career development.
Lead the team to drive definition and implementation of the roadmap supporting intake and extract applications in collaboration with and in support of content operations strategy and goals.
Lead the team in the design of the operational requirements and maintenance for supporting databases driving workflow and process solutions.
Leverage low code workflow automation software to design and implement the migration of B2B eCatalog source databases and creation processes to scalable automated solutions.
Govern product content intake and automation workflows for access, improvements, source data, databases and change requests.
Lead the intake, evaluation and prioritization of enhancement requests and defect resolutions for intake and extract applications, document and communicate to our Digital Engineering support teams for execution.
Partner with Digital Engineering development teams on content impacting technical defects and improvements for prioritization and resolution supporting thermofisher.com and fishersci.com.
Continual evaluation of available industry technology supporting product content and intake and workflow automation including the adoption of Generative AI for identified use cases.
Manage through change driving and influencing adoption of new processes and workflows across content operations teams including providing training, review and domain expertise.
Present strategy, roadmaps, status updates to diverse leadership regularly.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Five or more years’ of proven ability in a management role supporting information technology, information management, database management, data workflow management, data product management or related field
Advanced understanding of database concepts: schemas, queries, relationships, ER mapping and experience applying in a Postgres SQL environment
Experience with low-code workflow automation software such as Alteryx or similar
Familiarity with Machine Learning and Generative AI methods and solutions preferred
Understanding of data modeling and system integration
Familiarity with the following CMS, MDM and Analytics solutions preferred: Hybris PCM, OpenText Media Management, Adobe Experience Manager, Alteryx, PowerBI, Postgres Database or similar.
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management or related field with equivalent experience
Demonstrable experience and success in team leadership
Self-directed, persistent and goal-oriented team member in an inclusive and diverse environment, making decisions and communicating effectively with regard to project progress
Prioritize and complete multiple simultaneous projects and tasks to meet designated objectives
Demonstrated skill at regularly assessing new technologies & techniques, to self-train when appropriate and pro-actively develop unique solutions to solve problems
Communicate and interpret technical issues to non-technical colleagues
Excellent verbal, written and presentation interpersonal skills.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Pennsylvania is $84,400.00–$126,550.00.
