About the Company:

Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) has warm, welcoming, home-inspired facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake and Seminole Counties.

CFC operates three 64-bed Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DD's), Howell Branch Court, Lake View Court and Washington Square. As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around the clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.

Purpose:

The purpose is to directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position Actively engages with individuals to follow their active treatment/programming schedule and provide all necessary supports to meet their needs, including all direct care and service requirements.

Essential Duties:

Participate in implementation of community outings, medical trips, shopping trips and haircuts.

Drive vehicles to community and leisure activities. Follow established loading and unloading procedures as well as ensure compliance with vehicle safety. Assist with CFCI bus runs as needed.

Coordinate specific events and outings ensuring that all monies, addresses, reservations, information, supplies and directions are available.

Provide follow up and monitoring for special skills training and general recreational and leisure programs. Participate in active treatment programming as assigned.

Assists residents’ in developing skills for community based leisure and activities of daily living to better participate in the communities in which they live.

Required Qualification:

Must be 21 years of age

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must have a valid Florida drivers license and maintain a safe driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

One year experience with developmentally disabled is desired.

College, vocational or technical training equal to 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or 720 classroom hours can substitute for the required experience.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$19.50 Hourly

    Background Checks:
