Maxim Healthcare Services In Home Caregiver in Oakland, California

Salary: $18 - $20 / per hour

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to work within our clients’ homes providing support with daily living tasks.

  • Our qualified caregivers will work closely with patients and are responsible for basic care services such as bathing, grooming, and feeding. Maxim Caregivers ensures our patients receive essential social and emotional support and provide vital information on patient conditions to recruiters and our clinical team.

Position Title: Caregiver

Job Type: Full time, Part time

Patient Territory: Oakland, San Francisco, Burlingame

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Duties and Responsibilities varies on a case-by-case basis

· Responsible for basic ADL services such as bathing, grooming and feeding, light housekeeping, and grocery shopping.

· Gives patients important social and emotional support.

· Provides “hands off” care such as: providing and encouraging socialization, encouraging a mild exercise program, giving reminders to take medications, supervising the safety of the patient/client when bathing, toileting, and dressing, and assisting with grocery-shopping; and performing light housekeeping chores.

· Arrives at the client’s home on time and leaves when shift schedule is complete.

· Performs all Companion Caregiver duties in an accurate and timely manner.

· Maintains confidentiality of all client information, in accordance with HIPAA standards.

· Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions.

· Notifies the office of any abnormal findings or conditions.

· Adheres to Companion Caregiver standards and procedures of the Company.

· Represents the Company with a positive image at all times.

· Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of all clients.

· Effectively communicates with the office staff, including availability to work.

· Adheres to time and attendance policies.

· Provides requirements-related information (Annual PPD, In-services, etc.) in a timely fashion; follows all other compliance standards at all times.

Requirements:

· O ne year working as a caregiver (preferred)

· Current First Aid and CPR certification (pediatrics and adults)

· TB Test

· Reliable transportation

· Flexible Schedule
