Pay: $40 per hour

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Masters Level counselor or therapist to provide counseling to patient’s in an outpatient setting in New London County.

Responsibilities:

• Provides necessary counseling as required for the patient.

• Assess the patient’s psychosocial needs, and evaluate the progress with supervisor.

• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.

• Focuses on assisting patient through discharge process of both in and out-patient treatment facilities as applicable.

• Utilizes a variety of therapy techniques and treatment plans.

• Facilitates patient progress and referrals with other agencies

• Adheres to Company policies and procedures when providing services to patients

• Observes and reports patient progress.

• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

• Licensing/Certification according to state/facility requirement

• Masters in Psychology, Addictions, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or some other Human Development major. They must have the required licensing/certification for the specific position if applicable.

• Current health certificate/physical exam, as required by state regulations or client requirement specifications.

• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (as applicable per state/client requirement)

• Minimum of 2 years work experience, working with patients preferred.

• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required

• Computer proficiency required

• Must be at least 18 years of age
