Position Summary: The Process Engineer will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all manufacturing processes. He/she will develop, implement, and execute continuous improvement opportunities to increase manufacturing efficiency and profitability.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five to ten years of engineering experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.

Technical Knowledge / Skills:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve production challenges.
  • Familiar with standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Should have knowledge of continuous process equipment, machine design, bearings/lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, AutoCAD, and electronics.
  • Experience in manufacturing concepts, safety practices, and procedures preferred.

General Knowledge / Skills:

  • Ability to respond to requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, organizational, and reporting skills.
  • Independent problem- solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Food safety is the responsibility of every employee. Any issues should be brought to the immediate attention of area supervisor or manager.

  • Support all plant production processes.
  • Analyze production challenges and prepare solutions.
  • Provide process design and evaluations for capital projects.
  • Communicate effectively with management team regarding resources that are needed to ensure timely and accurate execution of process improvement projects.
  • Participate in and support production improvements and new product development efforts.
  • Coordinate plant trials with R&D and plant personnel.
  • Provide technical support in statistical applications, process capability assessment, and problem solving.
  • Maintain compliance of safety standards, housekeeping, and personnel policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
