Position Summary: The Process Engineer will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all manufacturing processes. He/she will develop, implement, and execute continuous improvement opportunities to increase manufacturing efficiency and profitability.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
Experience / Qualifications:
- A minimum of five to ten years of engineering experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
Technical Knowledge / Skills:
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve production challenges.
- Familiar with standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures
- Advanced communication skills
- Should have knowledge of continuous process equipment, machine design, bearings/lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, AutoCAD, and electronics.
- Experience in manufacturing concepts, safety practices, and procedures preferred.
General Knowledge / Skills:
- Ability to respond to requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning, prioritization, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Independent problem- solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Food safety is the responsibility of every employee. Any issues should be brought to the immediate attention of area supervisor or manager.
- Support all plant production processes.
- Analyze production challenges and prepare solutions.
- Provide process design and evaluations for capital projects.
- Communicate effectively with management team regarding resources that are needed to ensure timely and accurate execution of process improvement projects.
- Participate in and support production improvements and new product development efforts.
- Coordinate plant trials with R&D and plant personnel.
- Provide technical support in statistical applications, process capability assessment, and problem solving.
- Maintain compliance of safety standards, housekeeping, and personnel policies
- Perform other duties as assigned.
