ATTENTION: Nuclear Medicine Technologistlooking to join a dynamic and nationally recognized hospital system. The Danbury and New Milford Hospitals are seeking to build their team and are looking for experienced Nuclear Med Techs to rotate weekly between Danbury and New Milford. Summary:

Prepares and administers radio pharmaceuticals to detect and treat disease.

Responsibilities:

  1. Position equipment (gama cameras) over patients to make images that allows physicians to identify abnormal areas to help diagnosing illness.

  2. Explains tests to patients and administers radioactive doses by mouth or injection.

  3. Follows strict safety regulations due to dangers of radiation effects to patients' bodies and organs.

  4. Performs quality control on cameras.

  5. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

REGISTRY ELIGIBLE - Desired 1 - 3 years experience. ARRT or CNMT Nuclear Medicine Registered.

  • Significant exposure to dirt, odor, noise, human waste, etc.
