Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a Master Scheduler for our plant in Mountain Home, Arkansas. The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing the master production plan for the facility to satisfy customer demand with respect to plant productivity. Strong collaboration and communication with the plant operations, customers and demand planning is essential.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule for the facility to align with customer demand, inventory targets, and production capacity constraints.

  • Adjust the master schedule as needed to accommodate changes in customer demand or production limitations.

  • Lead monthly plant SIOP supply planning process, including translation of demand plan into feasible supply and production plan requirements for finished goods and intermediate products.

  • Continuously strive to improve the efficiency of the scheduling process.

  • Communication: Facilitate clear communication regarding schedule changes and updates, both internally and with external partners.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, sales, procurement, and logistics to coordinate production activities and optimize resource utilization.

  • Monitor and track production performance metrics, capacity utilization, and adherence to schedule targets.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts by participating in cross-functional teams and implementing best practices in production planning and capacity management.

  • Maintain accurate supply plans in the system of record (SAP)

  • Review and manage key master data and supply chain parameters in ERP system (SAP)

Background & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred).

  • Minimum 4 years' proven experience in production scheduling within a Lean Manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.

  • Proficiency in production scheduling software and ERP systems.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
