AutoZone, Inc. Sr. Systems Engineer in Memphis, Tennessee

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the implementation of Generative AI products, driving the successful launch of the first version to market and ensuring its alignment with the company's goals and vision.

  • Train, fine tune, and deploy LLM solutions on our expansive proprietary data. Develop and implement RAG-based chatbots, utilizing advanced techniques like query re-writing, efficeint retrieval and re-ranking

  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging AI to improve business processes.

  • Collaborate cross functionally to deploy AI solutions and monitor outcomes.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the team, fostering their professional growth and enhancing overall team performance.

    What We Look For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Typically requires minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience with a strong focus on Information Retrieval, Large Language Models, NLP & NLU and Graph Neural Networks.

  • Hands-on experience with both traditional keyword-based search technologies as well as modern search paradigm utilizing vector-based retrieval algorithms and search systems such as Elasticsearch or Solr.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with machine learning systems in production, particularly in the NLP/LLM field. Used LLM beyond hobbies. Had experiences in model fine-tuning and/or reward learning.

  • Excellent programming skills with two or more of the following languages – Python, Java, TypeScript/Node & React.

  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud platforms – GCP or Azure preferred. Self-driven and highly motivated to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with an unwavering attention to detail.

  • A strong advocate of clean code
