JOB SUMMARY

The Pharmacy Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating prescription medication care for patients across the organization and those referred to the specialized pharmacy program. The Pharmacy Care Coordinator is pharmacy’s liaison between the patient, insurance, and medical staff and is responsible for coordinating personalized patient education, documentation to enhance communication, insurance prior authorization, and/or financial assistance/indigent drug programs as appropriate.

This position will work onsite 50% of the time in Marshfield, WI.

WORK SHIFT:

Mon-Fri; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred/Optional: Successful completion of post-secondary courses in the Microsoft Office Suite.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: Three years pharmacy and medication-related managed care experience. Working knowledge of Wisconsin pharmacy law and third party pharmacy reimbursement rules. Proficient with spreadsheets, databases and the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with trouble shooting and customer service.

Preferred/Optional: Experience with legacy pharmacy software and intimate working knowledge of the Marshfield Clinic computer system.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certificate awarded by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required within 6 months of hire date and maintained for the duration of employment. Pharmacy Technician registration or licensure or an application for pharmacy technician registration or licensure will be accepted if it is in pending status by the first

date of employment. Registration/licensure must be obtained within 6 months.

Registration/licensure must remain in good standing and current.

Preferred/Optional: Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification at time of hire.
