What You Will Do: Provide compensation advice to HR Business Partners, HR Advisory Services and potentially Business Managers on complex compensation issues Advise and make recommendations to address specific compensation issues and questions ensuring that compenensation practices/programs are in support of the long-term objectives of Enbridge. Develop, model, analyze and align compensation programs and policies (including base pay, variable compensation programs, pay equity programs) to meet strategic objectives. Build complex financial models and analyze results. Explains the results in clear, concise terms Analyze effectiveness of pay programs and make recommendations to optimize and/or remove ineffective plans, preparing reports with rationale and conclusions. Participate in the execution of the annual compensation cycle system set up, plan administration, reporting and award communication along with the HR Cycle team Identify leading practices and opportunities for improvement in compensation practices, processes and procedures Lead and/or participate in the completion of compensation surveys and other special compensation studies for purposes of maintaining the Company's competitive position within the market place Mentor junior compensation team members through daily activities Who You Are: Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting or related subject area Minimum 6 years of HR experience with direct compensation specialization Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Labour Legislation related to supporting compensation policies and programs Demonstrable knowledge and awareness of enterprise wide issues and challenges to ensure broad perspective is applied in issue resolution or solution development Strong leadership, planning, team, interpersonal, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills Business acumen and awareness of leading edge activities in the field of compensation and benefits Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to): Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Mental Requirements (Both field & office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals
