Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

•  Properly operates the dish machine. Checks chemicals, temperature, and sanitizer and records on appropriate forms
•  Cleans and sanitizes all trays, glassware, plates, mugs, utensils, etc. after each meal
•  Properly disposes of garbage routinely throughout the day
• Prepares beverages for tray line and keeps coolers stocked with beverages
•  Delivers residents/patient trays to each station
•  Practices proper food safety measures
• Mops dietary department daily and as needed.  Cleans any spills and uses wet floor signs appropriately.
• Delivers supplies to stations as needed
•  Completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties as assigned
•  Properly stores all food and supplies using FIFO.  Labels and dates all foods prior to being stored
•  Assist other staff in the Dietary Department as needed
•  Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
•  Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

•  Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
•  Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
•  Ability to read and write and follow written and oral instructions
•  High school diploma or GED required
•  Food service experience preferred
