Description:

St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an RN, WOCN to join our team!

Schedule: Pool Tier II, Day Shift

Tier II Requirements: 48 hour minimum commitment per 4 week schedule, 2 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule, 1 Winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), 1 Spring/Summer Holiday (Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day)

The Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse specializes in the care of patients with disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and integumentary systems.

  • Responsibilities include functioning as an independent practitioner in the assessment, implementation and revision of plans of care for patients with wounds, ostomies, fistulas, incontinence issues, and management of patients undergoing negative pressure wound therapy.

  • The WOCN functions as a resource to physicians, nurses, patients, families and the institution , participates in the development of pressure injury prevention programs, process improvement initiatives, skin and wound care guidelines, patient and staff education, coordination of services, guidelines for specialty bed usage and development of a product formulary within the institution.

  • The CWOCN is self-directed and maintains current professional knowledge and competence in the specialty areas. The CWOCN maintains certification from the WOCNCB.

Position Requirements :

  • Graduate from NLN approved school of professional nursing.

  • PA RN License

  • BSN

  • CWON/CWOCN Certification
