Nature of Work: Workers will primarily perform canopy management tasks throughout the vineyard such as: pruning; tying down canes; leaf removal from fruit zone; shoot thinning and positioning; suckering vine trunks; secondary fruit removal; fruit thinning; and harvesting grapes. Use of required tools are provided such as pruning shears, loppers, harvest shears (Felco #310), and tractor equipment such as a John Deere 2210 HST. Workers must transplant grape vines, as needed as well as repair & construct trellises and repair fencing as needed. Exposure to extreme temperatures, repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling, walking, and frequent stooping. Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs frequently.
