Position Purpose: The Technician II will be responsible for the precise electrical/mechanical components for space flight.

Title: Technician II

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $25.00 - $43.50/hr

Job Responsibilities:

Read, understand, and execute work instructions to build advanced and precise electrical/mechanical assemblies. Verify built assemblies are meeting the engineering intent from an electrical/mechanical perspective. Identify non-conforming issues during assembly and recommend solutions to the engineering team to overcome issues. Take ownership and maintain build documentation for assemblies being built. Including filling out work instructions, non-conformance reports and logging time against the applicable work order. Be willing to cross train in multiple areas of specialty. Other responsibilities as assigned. Perform tasks with a high level of integrity Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule Provide input for continuous process improvement, develop more refined ways of assembling parts and products Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications/Education:

2+ years' related experience, or a two-year technical degree and 1 years related experience High School Diploma or equivalent MUST have experience performing precision electrical/mechanical assembly Ability to read and work to engineering documentation Familiarity with tools and techniques used for precision manufacturing and assembly Experience using metrology tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Multi-meters, etc.) Applied knowledge of GD&T (ANSI/ASME Y14.5) Excellent manual dexterity, ability to handle small parts Possess strong problem solving and communication abilities High standard of workmanship is a must Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education

Working Conditions: This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
