Dawson, a K-12 independent school of 535 students located east of Boulder on a beautiful 112-acre campus, seeks an exceptional full-timeFourth Grade Lead TeacherstartingAugust 1, 2024.Previous classroom experience is required, and a graduate degree is preferred. Professional and Personal Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Early Education or a related field is required

• 3+ years teaching experience required

• Demonstrated classroom management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High level of skill in teaching mathematics via concrete and abstract methods

• Strong understanding of the science of reading and a proven ability to teach all readers using phonemic and phonological awareness

• An attitude that exemplifies teamwork and personal responsibility

• Ability to include technology elements into all aspects of instruction

• Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters

Duties/Responsibilities

· Report to Director of Lower School

· Actively participate in the extracurricular life of the School

· Participate in class trips, clubs, and Winterim

· Additional duties as deemed necessary by the School

The salary range for this position is $45,000-$70,000. Compensation is commensurate with experience and relevant skills. Benefits include Medical, Dental, 401k, and generous time-off.
