We are currently seeking a Full Time High School Science Teacher for the 2023-2024 School Year.

Summary:

• Coordinate regents prep classes for Chemistry Science.

• Coordinate two science electives.

• Utilize pull outs to support our science department.

• Communicate with classroom teacher and provide students with additional practice and assistance with the material being taught.

• Provides classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans.

• Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.

• Maintains a safe and orderly environment.

• Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which they are assigned.

• Maintains reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility.

• Familiarity with Next Generation Learning Standards.

• Evidence of positive classroom management skills; strong communication skills.

• Evidence of self-initiative and ability to collaborate within a team.

• Completes other duties as assigned.

Candidates must be NYS certified in the area for which they are applying to teach.
