Description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) coordinates day habilitation programming and activities, working with management, staff, and the people that reside at Palmer Center to create activities that are both home-based and in the community.

Palmer Center is located in Kingston, and is very close to shopping and the Rhinecliff Bridge.

A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday/8:00 am to 4:00 pm

STARTING SALARY: $ 21.51 to $ 23.47 per hour, for working at this location (which includes a $2.00 per hour differential over the Palmer Full-Time DSP base salary range of $ 19.51 to $ 21.47), plus applicable shift differentials may be added.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred

• Acceptable NYS Driver's License

• Computer skills
