Description of Job Duties and Requirements Use hand and power tools (shovels, rakes, drills, blowers, chainsaws, pipe saws, concrete saws, pipe cleaning equipment) to perform maintenance tasks Perform manual laboring tasks Setup, maintain and operate traffic control (including flagging) for work zones Operates work vehicles and small equipment (mowers, tractors, skid steers, trencher, asphalt rollers, articulating off-road dump trucks) Clean and perform minor maintenance on equipment and vehicles in safe working conditions Install and maintain pressurized and gravity pipe in trench excavation Occasional use of trench shoring equipment Assist in the operation of high-pressure pipe cleaning equipment Performs appropriate inspections and keeps equipment and vehicles clean and in safe working condition Complete all tasks in a safe, efficient manner May be required to work in confined spaces such as manholes and meter vaults

No education is required. 6 months experience in construction is required.

Geographic Area of Intended Employment:Kingsport, Tennessee and Johnson City, Tennessee Wage: Workers will be paid no less than $20.28 per hour. Overtime hours may vary, depending on weather or other conditions and will be paid at a rate of$30.42per hour Training:On-the-job training provided Dates of Employment: June 9, 2024 -Aug. 31, 2024

Other Terms: The Work Days are Monday through Friday with a daily work window of 8:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Single Workweek for Pay, Frequency of Pay and Deductions from Pay The employer shall use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due, and payroll is every two weeks. The employer will make all deductions from the workers' paycheck as required by law and will not deduct any other amounts. Provision of Board/Lodging or Other Facilities - Daily Transportation The employer willnotprovide board, lodging, housing, or other facilities. The employer will not provide daily transportation to and from the job site. Workers are responsible for their own transportation. Inboard/Outbound Transportation and Subsistence If the worker completes 50% of the work period, the employer will either provide or reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. The employer will reimburse the workers for subsistence at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.

If the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer for any reason, the employer will pay for the cost of return transportation and daily subsistence at the rate stated above or the subsistence rate established by the U.S. Department of Labor. The employer will not be responsible for return transportation and subsistence fees where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. First Workweek Reimbursement The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees. Tools, Supplies and Equipment The employer will provide to the worker, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned in accordance with CFR 655.20(k).
