The Senior Manager,Digital Healthcare Innovationplays an integral role in supporting theDigital Healthcare Innovationteam. The incumbent is mainly responsible for managing external projects for digital healthcare initiatives aligned with MTPC's overarching business strategy. The incumbent will harness his or her abilities and strong working relationships with academia, startups, biopharma companies, and governments in the US and globally to facilitate collaborations with them. This position will be a direct report of the Director,Digital Healthcare Innovation, and will lend appropriate operational and project management support of the disease monitoring plan in neurodegenerative disorders and other key initiatives to ensure their successful implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in various calls, meetings, and conferences with an eye towards continuous improvement. Brings back information on promising new digital healthcare technologies for presentation to Director,Digital Healthcare Innovation. Innovations are expected to be wide-ranging targets for potential commercialization (digital therapeutics, disease monitoring tools, etc.) or alternatively, innovations that could improve internal operations.

  • Assists in evaluating digital technology for clinical trials across therapeutic areas of interest.

  • As required, contributes to presentations made by the Director,Digital Healthcare Innovationto the Senior Leadership Team to win buy-in on new technology.

  • Develops best practices for delivering digital solutions and ensures awareness and consistency of tactics and opportunities across organizations.

  • Drives collaboration and manages relationships among numerous cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed organization, including external stakeholder engagement.

  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), lending scientific and business expertise and guidance, as needed, to immediate colleagues as well as other functional areas as the recommended innovations move forward in the process and undergo additional scrutiny from a business and economic perspective.

  • Participates in a range of related meetings as directed (e.g.,security risk assessments, quality assessments, regulatory compliance discussions, etc.)

  • Project manages a range of approved projects involving emerging digital healthcare technologies, as assigned, and plays a role in the business negotiation of same.

  • Works closely with the management teams that engage HCPs as well as Sourcing, Accounting, and other internal support functions to ensure all projects fully align with company goals and to ensure adherence to project timelines.

  • Works closely with third-party vendors and engages in related administrative duties to keep projects on-track. For instance, reviews vendor contracts, service orders, and change requests and makes recommendation for approval/disapproval to Director,Digital Healthcare Innovation.

  • Drafts any related system documentation (e.g., user instructions, etc.) and presents to Director for approval.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Science related field (advanced degree such as PhD is preferred)

  • 5+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare/IT industry experience

  • Experience in the project management of Healthcare IT projects; experience specifically with one or more disease monitoring sensor(s) or system(s) is highly preferred.

  • Experience facilitating meetings with collaborators in different locations using Skype or Webex

  • Strong organizational skills; proven ability to juggle multiple projects and work well under pressure while maintaining stringent attention to detail

  • Well-organized, motivated self-starter, hard-working and independent

  • Proven relationship-building skills and vendor management skills

  • Strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail and organization

  • Maintains optimism and energy in the face of change and adversity; willing to collaborate to solve problems.

  • Detail oriented and solution-driven

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and web conferencing software

  • Required to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally

The salary range for this position is $112,000 - $179,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.

This position is eligible to participate in our annual Short-Term Incentive (STI) program. Specific information about the plan including eligibility rules and target, will be furnished upon hire.
