Career Connection Network Quality Engineer in JAMESTOWN, New York

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Quality Engineer with at least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: Engineering, Inspection and Document Control. A background in defense, aerospace, or automotive industries is a plus!This direct hire, full-time opportunity comes with:A competitive salary of $60K - $75K (depending on experience)Full benefits that include PTO, health, vison and more!Position Summary: The Quality Engineer will support the overall plant quality system as well as work with suppliers and customers to meet company objectives for new product development and improvement of existing product lines.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Creation of quality documents and development of Standard Operating Procedures for manufacturing.Maintain and revise Quality Assurance Procedures and Instructions as necessary to assure ISO 9001 and AS9100 registration.Perform internal audits and identify quality system improvements to ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 9001:2015 & AS9100D).Maintain product inspection control plans.Identify and determine quality requirements necessary to meet customer needs and expectations.Work closely with manufacturing staff to ensure quality protocols are followed and documentation is currently maintained. Implement any new changes or adaptations based on quality reviews.Complete and submit First Article Inspection documents to customers.Maintain and effectively apply knowledge of statistical process control concepts such as variation, control, and process capability.Investigate non-conformances and assist manufacturing and engineering teams in determining effective corrective actions.Requirements:Minimum 5 years of work experience in a quality function within a manufacturing environment with a combination of Engineering, Inspection and Document Control is preferred.Bachelor degree in Quality Management, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar Engineering disciplineKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100DKnowledge in statistical process control concepts such as variation, stability, and process capabilityExperience in the metal cutting industry is preferredEffectively analyze problems and provide solutions internally and externallyUse of dimensional inspection tools and coordinate measurement machinesMicrosoft Office, Minitab, PC-DMIS, MeasurLink, Unipoint Quality modulesExcellent and professional communication skillsMust be detail oriented and with the ability to multitaskAbility to prioritize and manage time while working under strict timelinesLogical troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsResearching standards for quality provisionsPFMEA/Control Plans/PFDSix Sigma experience and/or ASQ CQE preferredIf you feel you are the right candidate for the job, we encourage you to apply today and call (716) 630-7008 for more information!
