Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Our location in Greater Houston, TX currently has an opportunity for an Acute Care Sales Representative in our Therapeutic Nutrition division.

The primary role of this position is to execute strategies to drive sales and expand product market share of Ensure®, Glucerna®, Juven® and specialty products brands. Responsible for targeted Hospital accounts also including select Outpatient clinics such as Oncology, Wound and Bariatric accounts. Key stakeholders such as: Nutrition Services, Nursing, Quality, Materials Management, Physicians, and nutrition-related task forces and committees. Responsible for providing current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Abbott products, and effectively communicating the clinical and economic benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of acute care accounts

  • Executing strategic sales initiatives designed to exceed established sales goals.

  • Work closely with District Manager and cross-functional / interdisciplinary teams to execute the strategic account plan

  • Prioritizing the utilization of resources to drive return on investment

  • Utilizing Abbott Nutrition promotional materials and clinical studies to effectively communicate the clinical and scientific benefits of Abbott Nutrition products to targeted healthcare professionals

  • Plan and organize to maximize focus on top priorities

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Clinical/Healthcare experience preferred (RD/RN)

  • Selling experience across a wide range of Health Care Practitioners in Hospital setting/environment

  • Strong Business acumen demonstrated through solid understanding of the healthcare landscape

  • Strategic Account Planning experience

  • Excellent oral communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong organizational skills

Territory

  • The ideal candidate would be based out of the Greater Houston area. Ideally Central to North Houston. Cities include Katy, Willowbrook, The Woodlands, Spring, Kingwood, Baytown, Beaumont

  • Customer Base: Total Hospital - Physicians, Dietitians, Clinical Nutrition Managers, Nurse Mgrs., Director of Quality, Transitions of Care (75%), Bariatrics (10%), Oncology (15%)

  • 5-10% overnight travel for Regional/National meetings

  • No relocation provided, local candidates only

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
