Description

Robert Half is working with a distribution firm who is seeking a driven collections Specialist. The ideal candidate for this role is detailed and goal driven.

• Contacting customers via phone, email, or mail to secure payment for overdue accounts.

• Negotiating payment plans and settlements with customers based on their financial situation and company policies.

• Recording all communication and payment arrangements accurately in the company's database or collections system.

• Investigating and resolving discrepancies or disputes related to billing or payment.

• Collaborating with other departments such as sales, customer service, and accounting to address customer issues and facilitate payment resolution.

• Following up on overdue accounts and taking appropriate action to escalate

Requirements

• Associates degree in accounting, finance or related field

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proven experience in collections, accounts receivable, or related financial roles.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and maintain positive customer relationships.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
