This is a job for a Quality Engineer position with a company located in Grenada, MS.

Position Description: Modine Manufacturing Company is hiring for an experienced Quality Engineer to support data-driven quality projects and ensuring the plant Quality Management System (QMS) requirements are established, implemented, and maintained as planned, and to report on its performance. This position will work with Quality Specialists and Quality Technicians, and will report to the plant Quality Manager. This position is 5 days per week onsite at our plant in Grenada, Mississippi and operates under normal plant and business operation hours. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Quality Manager in developing and deploying the plant QMS and ensure it's alignment with the Modine Global Quality Management System. Report on the QMS status, recommend and implement on-going QMS improvements. Help to define, execute and improve processes owned by the Quality Department. Using the Global 8D system (Prism Portal), facilitate plant-wide corrective and preventive action and problem resolution of customer complaints, field failures, internal plant quality issues, internal and external audit findings, and supplier issues to ensure prompt and effective responses. Report status to plant management. Conduct failure analysis of returns from the customer for failure confirmation, root cause and corrective actions. Report results to the appropriate internal and external groups. Monitor and report status of assigned customer scorecards/performance. Take action to work with other plant departments as needed to improve scores. Maintain positive relationships with customers. Exercise authority to prevent shipment of non-conforming products. Participate in quality planning for the products and processes of the plant. This can be new or transfer products/processes coming to the plant. Utilize the tools available (including, but not limited to APQP, NPI and PRR) to ensure timely and effective implementation. Work closely with cross-functional staff to develop strategy and promote long term success of the facility. Understand and practice MOS Behaviors and Principles. Identify and collect internal knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned experiences, then apply this knowledge in new situations Work with the Quality Manager to develop and implement personal Annual Performance Objectives (part of the employee Performance Process) that support the organization's strategic objectives. Become an "expert" on the Modine Quality System and customer requirements and work with others to ensure compliance. Assist with the development of Work Instructions for quality and production personnel to assure they support quality requirements. Participate in APQP activity as assigned, including: Coordinate the introduction of new or changed processes and products. This includes establishing timing plans, assisting with D&P FMEA development, and Control Plan development. Measurement Systems Analysis. Process capability determination. Inspection procedure & dimensional layout technique development. Design or specify inspection and testing equipment. Reaction plan development. Design, install, and evaluate quality process sampling systems, procedures, and appropriate statistical techniques. Review newly introduced and changed Specifications (Design, Engineering, Process, Quality, etc.). Revise plant quality requirements to reflect the new or changed requirements. Establish, monitor, analyze, and report on the major quality indicators for the plant. Utilize accepted capability indicators (CP, Cpk, PPM, etc.). Conduct internal audits of products, processes, and systems, identify and follow-up on areas for improvement, and assist with the implementation and follow-up of corrective action. oordinate, direct and participate in process audits of plant manufacturing operations. Coordinate and direct the preparation for customer, third-party, and corporate quality system audits. Participate in the audits, and represent the plant as necessary. Occasional travel to other Modine locations, customers, and suppliers.

Required Education & Qualifications: Between 2-5 years of experience in quality engineering or related quality experience. A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required. Practical experience in quality system implementation and auditing, and knowledge of ISO 9001. Solid project management skills to manage several projects at once. Proficiency in problem solving skills (8D, PDCA, 50Why, Cause/Effect.) Experience with core quality tools such as FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, QSA, etc. Experience with control plans and control plan development. Prior experience working in a lean manufacturing environment would be highly beneficial.
