    Job Summary

  • The Registered Nurse is accountable for providing quality nursing care to our patients within their scope of practice.

  • Supervise the staff working with them to coordinate cares with ancillary staff and to communicate effectively with the providers to ensure quality patient care.

  • Responsible for the compliance of Physician/Provider orders.

  • Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics, Avera’s Mission and Avera’s Service Excellence Standards.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate of Registered Nursing Education program.

  • 3-5 years of experience required.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire and must be maintained.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 2 months from date of hire.

  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 4 months from date of hire.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 12 months from date of hire

    Work Schedule

  • Hours:

  • Position requires 72 hours worked in a six-week schedule equating to 624 hours annually, not exceeding 1248 hours in a 12 month period.

  • Six weekends required annually.

    Pay

  • Flat Rate pay of $50.00
