Job Summary:
The Patient Registration Associate serves as a helping hand to the Dental department, providing a wide range of customer service and clerical responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
General customer service
Answering phones and responding to written inquiries
Registration of patients and gathering of applicable information
Scheduling for COVID-19 testing and/or vaccination at FLCH Health Centers or events
Screening, review, and audit of patient information
Recording and verifying patient insurance information
Entry-level data entry and computer usage
Basic Q&A
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Skills/Abilities:
Possesses organizational skills
Ability to follow established policies and procedures
Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends.
Knowledgeable of all organizational programs that could benefit patients
Maintains confidentiality of patients and coworkers
Proficient Bilingual Spanish is highly desirable
Education and Experience:
High School or Equivalency Diploma
Prior customer experience highly desirable
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to hear and communicate with clients and staff on the telephone and those who are served “in person.”
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Must have vision that is adequate to read memo’s computer screen, registration forms, and other documents.
Must possess manual dexterity, to perform writing and keyboarding tasks.
Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
