Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent; no experience required.
Job Description:
Performs varying standardized laboratory assignments and experiments.
Job Duties:
Participating in the daily activities and work assignments of research staff.
May train new students.
Planning and coordinating complex research experiments following standard operating procedures.
Working with Principal Investigator(s) to coordinate project activities and establish appropriate reporting procedures.
Contributing to scientific analysis and interpretation of projects.
Establishing and maintaining quality control measures for assigned project operations.
Making modifications to research procedures in collaboration with the Principal Investigator(s) and contributing to the writing of SOPs and protocols.
May participate in quality control of experiments performed by of junior staff.
Ensuring the accurate calibration and operation of a variety of laboratory equipment as defined by appropriate guidelines.
Adhering to internal controls established for department.
Performing related duties as required.
Ensuring, together with all members of the Laboratory, that biosafety rules are respected at all times.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or similar
