The Automotive Claims Tech is responsible for receiving, inspecting, responding to, and appropriately disposing of manufacturer labor claims for an Automotive Parts company in Fort Smith. The position will be responsible for documenting claims with Plex, maintaining the labor claim log, authoring reports based on claim analysis findings, and communication findings with customers. Reporting on trends and communicating potential product issues with the product department with the product department, is a vital role for this position. Great position for someone with mechanical experience or experience with automotive parts, automotive service experience. Must be able to use computers and be comfortable entering data into system, and running reports and collecting data and communicating your findings with others. Will be required to submit to a background and drug screening process. Take ownership for Automotive Parts Labor Claims upon delivery from vendors, document the claims into Plex, and organize the claims appropriately pending processing. Perform inventory and analysis of individual labor claims. Document all details into the Labor Claim Log. Make a determination on the legitimacy of claims and provide a response letter/report for the vendor that explains the findings. Manage all processed claims. Return denied claims to customers upon request. After 60-90 days, discard used product and work with the returns department to put sellable product back into inventory. Assist with reporting on labor claims and updating presentations as needed. Driven and self-motivated person who is accountable for delivering a high standard of results. The ability to communicate technical automotive/mechanical information clearly to provide support to customers. Have a strong understanding of automotive parts and how they work in conjunction with the engine systems and other related components. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have ability to use basic computers skills in an office and warehouse setting. MS office suite knowledge. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
