Trane Technologies Assembler Second Shift in Fort Smith, Arkansas

Position Description

  • Aware of the safety, quality, and production of the team.

  • Ability to learn skill sets including caulking, installation of unit parts/components, labeling, cleaning for audits, etc…

  • Ability to use power tools such as grinders, screw guns, caulking guns, etc…

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to bend down and reach up.

  • Ability to read a tape measure.

  • Ability to work at heights, either via ladder or fall protection.

  • Assist the team in decision making, problem solving, and continuous improvement process.

  • Perform duties as needed associated with the performance of the work cell.

  • Must be able to learn and perform all jobs within a team.

  • Demonstrate an absolute commitment to safety

  • Assist in identifying and resolving problems.

  • Perform any additional duties as required.

  • Complete ongoing training as required.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn all tasks required to perform the job.

  • Willing to work overtime as needed.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude to use equipment and maintain general understanding of business process.

  • Ability to perform work in a varied environment (Examples: on ladders, in high places, in confined areas).

  • Knowledge of and willingness to comply with all general work rules, policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and procedures.

  • Good teamwork skills.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Commitment to performing quality work.

  • Ability to learn to operate all equipment associated with the job; including, but not limited to, power hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.
