Esaote North America Inc Depot Repair Technician in Fishers, Indiana

Job Summary Esaote is looking for a dynamic repair technician to join our Service department. In this role, you'll be overseeing the care and use of biomedical ultrasound equipment and performing machinery repairs. To ensure success as a repair technician you should display an aptitude for biomedical technology and the ability to test, troubleshooting, and repair of medical ultrasound equipment. Ultimately, a top-notch repair technician should have strong critical thinking skills and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The technician will conduct a variety of electronic tests on sub-assemblies and parts to ensure the unit functions according to specifications after the repair or to determine cause of unit failure and repair the item. Essential Responsibilities: Unit Repairs

  • Assess problem with customer units and perform repairs.
  • Complete hardware and software upgrades to comply with service requirements and requests
  • Ensure that after unit repairs, unit conforms to current quality standards for all modes of operation
  • Perform electrical leakage testing as required by type of repair
  • Maintain current upgraded version of all units allowed in the loaner pool as directed
  • Use company software (SAP/Shape) to document all repairs, inventory movement and service reports
  • Repair and test loaner units after return from the customers
  • Contact customers as necessary for status updates and return of equipment

Order Fulfillment Duties

  • Configure equipment for training, consignment, and demo sales orders
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and transactions for movement of customer units
  • Review and finalize device history records for outgoing equipment

Additional Responsibilities Clean and disinfect field return items prior to movement to stock locations Build and test various cable harness assemblies Repair and solder certain parts required for service Ensure that material meets all cosmetic and functional quality standards Comply with written documentation for handling of defective material Notify manager of parts shortages or parts required from external location Other duties as assigned Position Requisites

  • Associate degree with emphasis on analog/digital theory, or Biomedical technician degree, or equivalent military experience preferred.
  • Minimum two years experience hands on troubleshooting and electronic and computer repair.
  • Medical equipment preferred but not required.
  • Must have critical thinking skills to be able to work independently.
  • Must be skilled in decision-making and interpersonal relationships.
  • Soldering experience with small cables and analog devices preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Windows based computer systems and basic electronic measuring equipment.
  • Ability to write basic work instructions and maintain accurate records of repairs.
  • Must be able to follow written or verbal instructions and procedures.
  • Must be able to pass drug and background screening, including MVR (motor vehicle record).
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds independently.
