Job Description

Join AECOM's 2024 Graduate Program!

Are you ready to launch your career in project surveying and commercial activities with a global leader in infrastructure and built asset advisory services? AECOM's Project Cost Consultancy (PCC) team is seeking a motivated Graduate Project Surveyor to join our dynamic and multi-disciplinary team working on Masterplanning projects . As a Graduate Project Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting all commercial activities throughout the pre and post contract phases of construction projects.

Role Overview

At AECOM, our PCC team provides comprehensive advisory services to project sponsors, consortia, developers, and lenders across various sectors. This will cover several different types of packages from fit-outs to new builds, giving you a wide range of knowledge & experience. You will complete a range of tasks within the team, including: Measurement, Volume 1 & 3 Production, Contracts & Procurement, Cost Forecasting, Variation Management, Market Testing, Cost Planning, Payment Administration & Liaising with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of senior Project Surveyors to complete measurement of quantities for cost plans, estimates, and bills of quantities.

• Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and viability studies.

• Implement, maintain, and monitor cost control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

• Evaluate variations, additions, and omissions, and incorporate them into monthly cost reports.

• Support in preparing, pricing, and negotiating change orders with clients and contractors.

• Conduct market testing of rates and analyze tender returns for input into rates databases and estimates.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Quantity Surveying from an accredited University

• Candidates must be recent graduates, having graduated within the last 24 months or no later than September 2024, to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.

• Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.3 or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above.

• If you hold a Master’s Degree, it should have started within 12 months of completing your Bachelor’s Degree to ensure continuous education and meet program requirements.

• Candidates with more than 1 year of postgraduate work experience are not eligible for the program and are encouraged to apply for our professional-level roles instead.
