Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services Director of Behavioral Health Services (4002) in Danville, Virginia

RESPONSIBILITIES Under the administrative supervision of the Executive Director, the Director of Behavioral Health Services is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and services within the Agencys Behavioral Health Services Division including, but not limited to, management of the Behavioral Health Services budget; supervision and administration of all essential support, clinical, and program staff; ensuring compliance with applicable licensing, certification, and evaluation standards; developing and maintaining effective relationships with appropriate federal, state, and local agencies and organizations; mid-level staff recruitment, training, and direct supervision; monitoring work schedules to ensure appropriate coverage; collaborating effectively with other Agency Division Directors to ensure services to mutual individuals receiving services; operations at the Agencys Gretna office location; and monitoring, assessing, and updating program policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS Minimum Requirements M1:Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work that includes coursework for licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner in Virginia M2:Currently licensed or license eligible in Virginia as a LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT or LSATP M3:Must obtain professional licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT or LSATP in Virginia within six (6) months of hire date

Preferred Requirements P1:Three years of professional experience in behavioral health field P2:Five years of progressive administrative experience P3:Knowledge of the Virginia Community Services Board System
