Incentive Accounting Specialist - JR2417482

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Incentive Accounting Specialist, you will oversee the incentive accounting activities for the United States and Canadian (USCA) Specialty Coatings and Materials and Automotive business. The goal of this position is to ensure accurate and timely transactions with efficient processes related to incentive accounting. You will report to the Customer Invoicing & Incentive Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities * Responsible for the accounting and analysis for customer incentive accounting - rebates, prebates, and all other contractual incentives that should be accounted for. * Review new and existing contracts for revenue recognition treatment. * Preform month end closing activities and preparation of internal management reporting. * Function as liaison with IT to ensure primary financial system (SAP) is functioning accurately to meet business needs and enforce policy. * Support Refinish SBU Buying Agreement process by activating buying agreements through the review of contracts, creating payment requests, securing appropriate approvals and monitoring the payment through to the customer. * Responsible for adherence to key performance indicators and all other job-specific financial policies and procedures to ensure a strong business control environment, where internal financial and operating controls align with Corporate and business policy. * Support SBU sales tax initiatives such as exemption certificate renewals.

Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent education with 3+ years of business, accounting, or finance experience. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
