This is a Job Description for a Co-Op Internship-Quality Engineering in Columbus, Mississippi

Summary: On the eastern border of Mississippi, you'll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It's here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers. Duties & Responsibilities: Assist Quality team by supporting problem solving, transformation, lean manufacturing, process/continuous improvement, innovation and six sigma projects. Learn the root cause analysis and continuous improvement processes at Airbus Helicopters and assist/participate in improvement efforts. Update visual management schemes, metrics, and support analysis and tools to assist in operating manufacturing. Document 5S scores, housekeeping audits and FOD levels. Assist in compliance with NAS 412. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications[]{#Hlk142289191}[]{#Hlk142304825}: High School diploma or equivalent experience and currently enrolled in bachelor's degree program for aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing. Must be currently enrolled at Mississippi State University. Able to work onsite in Columbus Mississippi for the duration of the Co-Op Internship, required. Some office work environment preferred. Must be well organized and have good time management skills. Ability to use computers and associated software. Requires ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form. Requires use of computer and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite. AutoCAD and VBA proficiency are preferred.
