Mississippi Employer Sales and Customer Service Manager in Columbia, Mississippi

Job Summary:

 Initially the candidate will participate in sales calls, help customers install and troubleshoot the device, provide ongoing customer service to end-users, and gather and analyze performance data for ongoing continuous improvements. The candidate will work in-person and will be traveling to customer sites. The candidate will work closely with the founders to continuously assess and improve the safety control device. A successful candidate will help the company develop and grow a sales and service department. * Minimum Qualifications:*

 · Experience working on industrial trucks and trailers, with demonstrable knowledge of truck and trailer chassis and electrical, braking and transmission systems.

· Ability to diagnose and creatively problem-solve truck and trailer mechanical and electrical systems.

· Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

· Self-Motivated and a drive to learn and succeed.

· Reliable vehicle transportation and personal cell phone.

· High School Diploma or GED or greater.

· Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

· Able to work in all outdoor weather conditions.

· Ability to lift 50 pounds.

· Must be at least 18 years of age and be legally eligible to work in the United States.

· Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.

· Additional Possible Qualifications:

o Transportation industry sales experience a plus.

o Service department supervision/management experience a plus.

o Programmable Logic Controller experience a plus.

o Mechanical/Electrical engineering skills a plus.

o Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel a plus.

 

Job Responsibilities:

· Participate in sales presentations and help establish and improve related selling processes.

· Build and maintain solid customer relationships, understanding their needs and providing personalized sales and service solutions.

· Drive to customer job sites (drives can be up to several hours).

· Help customers install, test and adjust all components of the safety control device and develop and provide training to enable customers to be reasonably self-sufficient for all of these activities.

· Provide exceptional customer service troubleshooting support and resolutions to customers over the phone and via web-based communication systems and develop processes and tools for providing customer service.

· Read and understand truck, trailer and related accessory product manuals, schematics and specifications.

· Complete sales, installation and customer service/troubleshooting logs and reports in a timely manner.

· Complete time and travel logs and expense reports in a timely manner.

· Use learnings to promote continuous improvement with senior management.

· Complete training in operating, installing, testing, troubleshooting and repairing the safety control device.

· Promote and represent the company positively and professionally to all customers and prospective customers.
