Duties:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks
• Apply primer and paint to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades
• Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
• Follow safety guidelines and use protective gear when working with paints and chemicals
• Assist with other labor tasks as needed

Skills:

• Knowledge of color theory and the ability to mix and match paint colors
• Proficiency in caulking and applying sealants to surfaces
• Experience in concrete finishing for both interior and exterior applications
• Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications for painting projects
• Familiarity with stucco application and maintenance techniques
• Understanding of construction estimating principles for material and labor costs
• General maintenance person skills for minor repairs or touch-ups
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, and sanders
