United Natural Foods Inc Backhaul Coordinator - 161258 in Centralia, Washington

PURPOSE: Responsible for the scheduling and follow through of PO's to be picked up by the driver. Includes direct communication with vendors, buyers, dispatchers, and drivers to ensure completion. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Job Responsibilities Contacts vendor, confirms order pickup details and notifies vendor of pickup date changes. Completes incoming and unbooked reports and transportation logs in a timely manner. Provides transportation assistance for all driver call-ins regarding route delivery issues and customer call backs. Completes packets with necessary information (load details, manifest and labels) for drivers. Delivers packets to Transportation and/or Receiving office. Collects and processes packets from previous days backhaul. Files return manifest sheets, completes Daily and Weekly Recap Summary and forwards to Regional Routing. Informs supervisor/manager of any discrepancies in paperwork or policy violations. Checks pool to ensure there are no remaining purchase orders outstanding. Ensures all backhauls are picked up and tracks all backhaul PORC (temperature) documents in a timely manner. Notifies Inbound Logistics regarding overflow pallets of 10 or more. Performs other relevant job duties as required.
