Lead TellerCadiz, KYDescriptionJOB SUMMARYThe role of the Lead Teller is to perform the duties of a Teller, and oversee daily teller functions and scheduling while ensuring that all branch operations are effective and compliance requirements are met. The Lead Teller will lead by example and serve as a role model in the branch in all facets of the teller role by promoting a positive work environment that inspires, motivates, challenges, supports, and provides ongoing recognition for exceptional performance. The Lead Teller is also the primary point of contact for issues and complex or escalated customer service needs. An effective Lead Teller is expected to lead the team in service, hospitality, sales, and operational excellence.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Oversee teller team, and assist office manager with the onboarding, coaching, training, and development of tellers.Schedule tellers to ensure that office is covered sufficiently to take care of the customers.Assist tellers in solving customer problems and aid tellers with balancing issues.Responsible for completing all necessary and assigned audits performed at the standard set by the Bank.Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all employee information and customer business confidential and in a secure location.Conduct teller performance reviews and have ongoing conversations with the team regarding performance.Comply with all BSA requirements and complete appropriate documentation.Accountable for representing the Bank to the customer in a courteous, professional manner, and for providing prompt, efficient, and accurate service in processing transactions.Perform the normal duties of a teller with accuracy and efficiency as outlined in a separate teller job description.Identify referral opportunities.Maintain an accurate cash drawer with proper balancing and cash levels.Willing to cross-train for other branch duties if necessary.Perform related duties as assigned.COMPETENCIESInterpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive manner in dealing with customer transactions and employee situations.Leadership and motivational skills to lead and develop staff.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Work with minimal or no supervisionStrong math, communication, and keyboarding skills are required.Ability to cross-sell products and services and coach staff for successful cross-sell resultsAbility to prioritize and manage multifunctional tasks.Proficient in word processing, web skills, email, and general computer aptitudes.WORKING CONDITIONS1. Length of the working day is unpredictable. Longer work hours may be necessary.2. Required to stand for long periods when providing customer service.3. Exposed to a potentially hazardous condition - robbery. Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed to minimize risk.RequirementsREQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS1. A high school diploma or equivalent.2. Prior leadership experience required.3.
